Augusta Area School District

Augusta, WI

The Augusta Area School District is committed to delivering high-quality education and empowering learners.  In 2022, it was evident that the community had a high level of support for their schools when they passed a referendum allowing the district to proceed with various improvements.  These improvements will continue and improve upon the support for the staff and students at the Augusta Area School District.

The referendum projects consisted of several enhancements at both the Elementary School and the Middle-High School.

The Elementary School addition consists of a 10,000-square-foot Gymnasium with a 400-seat bleacher capacity, team rooms, restrooms, and an adjacent lobby to support all gym activities.  The addition also includes two classrooms to support the need for adequately sized and flexible instruction space.

The Middle-High School additions include a performing arts center, fitness center, instruction space, tech ed space, and a relocated district office.  Renovations will also occur to improve instruction space, distance learning, staff resource space, and tech ed lab space.  The Performing Arts Center with its 400-seat auditorium, lobby, scene shop, partial fly loft, and dressing rooms will provide the district with space that greatly improves upon the existing gymnasium located downtown and off-site that previously served as their performance space.  The new fitness center and weight room will provide an easily accessible fitness space for the district and the community.  To support the growing technical education programming, an expansion and renovation will provide an enhanced robotics lab, ag mechanics lab, welding and metals lab, and auto mechanics lab.
