Autumn Leaves Assisted Living

Autumn Leaves is a 20-bed assisted living facility located on the outskirts of Cumberland, Wisconsin. Our design goal was to create a small, community-oriented environment where comfort, clarity, and functionality work together to support residents and staff.

The building is thoughtfully scaled to reflect residential proportions, helping residents feel at ease while still meeting the operational needs of assisted living. The plan emphasizes straightforward circulation, clear sightlines, and accessible connections between private rooms, shared living areas, and outdoor spaces. Warm materials and natural light were used throughout to reinforce a sense of familiarity and home.

Communal spaces are centrally located to encourage social interaction, while resident rooms offer privacy and independence. Staff areas are strategically placed for efficiency and unobtrusive oversight, supporting high-quality, personalized care.

Autumn Leaves represents a carefully considered balance of residential character and care-focused design, creating a supportive environment where daily life feels comfortable, safe, and dignified.
