Bloomer Middle School
Bloomer, WI
The design and construction of the new Bloomer Middle School was the result of the district’s decision to replace an aging downtown facility located on a confined site. The 67,000 square foot facility houses 5th through 8th grades and is designed to accommodate future expansion. The middle school features a multipurpose cafeteria/tiered lecture area and stage. The art, technical education, Family and Consumer Education, music classrooms, IMC, and computer areas are centrally located in the building between the academic wings. A 500-seat gymnasium with locker rooms is also included in the single-story facility. The school is located on a site of approximately 38 acres on Bloomer’s northeast side. The district later acquired an additional 54 acres adjacent to the middle school property to provide site space for long-range facilities needs.
