Elk Mound High School

In 2019, the Elk Mound School District successfully passed a referendum to address increasingly prominent issues stemming from existing building conditions. Existing locker rooms were fully renovated and absorbed the previous weight room space to accommodate additional team rooms, restrooms, and showers. The addition to the building includes a new weight room and aligns with current and future spatial needs for training and equipment.

The Elk Mound High School building addition contains new band and music amenities. The main rehearsal room incorporates high ceilings and large windows, allowing for daylight harvesting and views of landscape and game fields. A number of small rehearsal rooms and storage areas accommodate other functions and storage needs of the high school music program, more than doubling the previous existing space dedicated to performing arts.

Also included in the project is an extensive renovation of the Tech. Ed. and shop classrooms. Reorganization of space and classroom locations improved the efficiency and circulation of the shop overall, and both shop classrooms were given finished updates for better functionality and user comfort.

Tech. Ed. system updates included new and modified HVAC, electrical power, and lighting. New boilers and pool de-humidifier systems were also implemented to align with current and future mechanical needs.
