Our team along with Wipfli started working with the team at Rainy Lake Hospital located in International Falls, MN in 2023. We started our process by conducting meticulous interviews with the hospital staff and members of the community to gather valuable insights and understand their needs. During the interviews, we engaged with the hospital staff to gain a deep understanding of their workflow, operational requirements, and challenges they faced in their daily tasks. We listened attentively to their feedback and suggestions, ensuring that their voices were heard throughout the design process. Based on the findings from the space planning study and the insights gained from the interviews, we developed a pre-design concept. This concept incorporated the feedback and requirements of the hospital staff and community, ensuring that the final design would be a reflection of their needs and aspirations.
