Southwest Health contacted RVA looking to grow their existing Surgery Department. Some of the major challenges to overcome were how to expand and remodel the existing Surgery Department in order to double the number of Operating Rooms from two to four, while adding a new Endoscopy Room, Central Processing Suite, PACU and expand their Prep and Recover Rooms. RVA was able to provide a design that allowed the contractor to remodel the surgery department in multiple phases while keeping the department up and running. The new Surgery Department gives Southwest Health the opportunity to better serve the needs of their patient while providing additional surgical procedures throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
